It works hand in hand with Google Docs so you can open and edit documents without the need of an additional app. This function comes preinstalled on many Android tablets and is well worth installing.
This mobile application is an evolutionary step up from Read It Later. This app allows you to save videos, images and articles for viewing at a later time. Pocket displays what you have saved strait in the app without needing to open up a browser and with the exception of videos will cache your content for offline viewing.
This browser comes standard on Nexus devices, but not all mobile devices have it as default. This fantastic mobile application allows you to sync your schedule, bookmarks, open tabs and many other parts with its desktop counterpart. If you donÔÇÖt have this on your Android mobile device, you need it.
This free mobile application offers a great read on the weather that will help you stay aware of your surroundings and whether or not it is safe to travel. This app may not be the most fine-tuned when it comes to graphics, but it is easily updated to fit 7 and 10 inch screens which puts it way ahead of the game. It is also capable of sending you notifications and other configurable alerts.
Interestingly enough this free mobile application is great on the iPhone and iPad. It offers a great experience on the iPad which is great for editing media. There are other options out there in the Apple Store like iPhoto and Photoshop Touch, but both of these come with a hefty price tag. They may be worth it if you donÔÇÖt mind spending the money, but Snapseed is great already and adding free into the mix just made it better.
Apple has a great cloud service in iCloud, but if you wish to a type of file syncing outside of the rather limited iCloud then Dropbox is for you. Not only do many iOS apps accept files from both iCloud and Dropbox, but the two can be used at the same time without messing anything up.
There are many options when it comes to music apps on iOS, but Spotify takes the cake with its free streaming service. Streaming is great for mobile devices and on iOS devices you can sync them through iTunes as well as share your listening habits with friends on Facebook. There is also a premium subscription you can elect to pay that will give you access to playlist syncing and offline listening.
Like with the Android OS, The Accuweather mobile application is great for iOS. The iPad doesnÔÇÖt have a native weather app installed so this is particularly useful on the tablet. You can receive hourly and 15-day forecasts as well as satellite maps and cloud syncing.
